Who knows? When I saw Ashcroft on his first solo tour in Detroit Kate played along with him, although all she did was the classic Spacemen 3-style two chord organ. Interesting. Spaceman's "illness" has to do w/ the fact that Dick Aschroft stole his wife, Kate Radley who played keys for Spiritualized. Every song J wrote was about her and every track on Richard's solo debut "alone with everyone" followed suit with basically all songs being penned about Kate. She must be special.
