They had local bands playing in store all day, giveaways, discounts on all purchases, and free beer! I think all record stores should offer free beer. Perhaps this is the marketing strategy that can save record stores. I got the new Liam Finn, Scott Walker 2, and picked up a copy of Cut Copy's new one for friends. THAT album deserves a review soon. After watching a bluegrass band perform outside of Vintage Vintyl in STL, I went inside and picked up The Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo and the best of Desmond Dekker. I tried looking for that Why? album, but to no avail. So how did you support your local record store, Scotter?
