Well, "Casimer Pascal" is the sole songwriter and creative engine of the group, and I'm pretty sure that much of the new album was recorded by him alone. By "original band" I meant a solid group of individuals who were involved in playing on the albums and playing shows more than every 2 years at a time--a committed group, members who went to practice every week, who knew all of the songs, and could say "I'm in the band Pas/Cal."

The iteration of Pas/Cal that played Rock City seemed to be thrown together for the purpose of this one show. I don't really have a lot of first-hand knowledge of who the "original members" of the band are, other than Richard Panic, who played at Rock City, and Trevor Naud, who is now in Zoos of Berlin. Sorry, I tend to play the role of fan better than the role of insider on such matters. All I remember is that their shows back in 2005-2006 were tight, with a unified cast, whereas the show at Rock City was less so.

pas/cal always sort of reminded me of the lilys. it doesnt really matter who the players are since there is just one guy who writes all the songs. do you really think it matters that the bass player left????? i think what you call the original band is just live players. i thought they were good that night. chad from jonny headband rocked hard.

pas/cal is the indie guns and roses. awesome in their day, but without the original members and years of waiting for an album, i really think i am over them. easily the most disappointing performance of rock city.
