A few weeks ago, I got to hang out with the gentlemen of Blasé Splee at one of their Royal Oak residences. The result was this article about the band in this week’s Metro Times. It was a very fun and entertaining 3 hours of hanging out, where I got to listen to final mixes of their excellent debut album, Et Cetera, entertain future album titles (my bets are onThis Doesn’t Taste Like Celery to be a big hit), learned that bands hate to be asked what their influences are, and discovering to my vegetarian displeasure that bacon-flavored chapstick actually exists.
This will be a big weekend of music in metro Detroit. Friday at the Crofoot is Mr. Sandman’s Quadruple Album Release Prom (more to come on that), and Saturday is both the Blasé Splee release (first 100 in the door get a free copy of the new disc) at Small’s and the Motor City Rocks Spring Showcase at The Belmont. Hamtramck will be a fine place to spend a Saturday night.

Is bacon flavored chapstick vegetarian?

I bought this thinking it was for dogs because its bacon flavor.
WARNING – This is NOT a pet product.
Ever since applying this product to my dog he has been licking his lips 24/7 and refuses to listen to any of my commands! And to make things even worse the cat has started chewing on the dog’s face while he is sleeping. Please, for the love of PETA do not apply this product to animals!

This still doesn’t answer the question of whether bacon-flavored chapstick is vegetarian, unfortunately. Is bacon-flavored chapstick meat-based, or is its threat to a vegetarian lifestyle on par with animal crackers?
If there were actual bacon bits in this chapstick, I’d order a whole crate.
